Right on the wings of the super successful debut of lil BLK in Chicago, NIC Kay is taking the solo performance lil BLK on the road in THE BRONX CUNT TOUR series. lil BLK is an experimental solo performance. Influenced by New York City gay/queer ballroom culture, live punk shows, butoh and praise dance. The story plays out through a series of biographical moments that are equal parts narrative and dream.
Starring NIC Kay
The Bronx Cunt Tour series will feature video diaries (talk + movement), interviews with folks in various cities, clips of the live performances and extended footage from the Links Hall showcase. The documentation from the lil BLK showcase at Links Hall + Interview will be used to create a trailer and story arc for the series. The story is NIC leaves Chicago to start conversations across the world about black queer femininity and returns to Chicago to perform once again in the Spring of 2016.
